Heidi

Meadow-Maiden Who Belonged to the Mountains

A tribute to mountain girls and meadow hearts, the Heidi corset speaks of high pastures, homemade bread, and sunlit freedom. With her deep black florals, creamy lace, and chocolate bows, she bridges rustic simplicity with enduring strength. She belongs to the hills—but carries the valley's memory in her bones.

“Heidi ran from one side to the other, and shouted with delight when she found a whole large patch of blue gentians... Then she ran on again and brought back a large bunch of them in her hands. The goats stood peacefully on the rocks, nibbling at the young bushes.”

Heidi, Joanna Spyri, 1880

The Heidi corset draws inspiration from traditional dirndl styles of the Bavarian and Tyrolean regions, combined with delicate rococo touches.

The main body features a charming black cotton brocade patterned with a soft ivory edelweiss motif, framed by decorative black lace and golden trim. At the center, a vintage ivory lace cotton panel is adorned with three brown dot ribbon bows—an homage to folk ornamentation with a romantic flair.

Boning provides light shaping and support through the bodice, while the curved hip tabs and pointed hemline echo the elegant lines of 18th-century stays. Finished with black satin shoulder ties and lined in soft cotton for comfort, Heidi blends heritage craftsmanship with feminine strength.

The corset is lined with a bonded cotton twill, ensuring durability, structure, and long-lasting wear. Ribbon ties on the shoulder straps and adjustable back lacing allows for a customized fit. Perfect for historical fashion, cottage romance, or everyday elegance, this versatile corset can be worn on its own or layered over a T-shirt or peasant blouse, for a more period-accurate look.

Whether you're dressing up for cosplay, a historical event, a soirée, or simply if you want to feel your most enchanting, the Madeline Stays will turn heads and transport you to another era.
