REFUND POLICY
Returns, Exchanges & Refunds
Lace Embrace Atelier Inc. creates ready-to-wear, made-to-order, custom, bridal, couture, historical, support, and specialty corsetry. Because many of our garments involve intimate apparel, custom sizing, handwork, fittings, and client-specific production, our refund and exchange policies vary by order type.
Ready-to-Wear Merchandise
Non-custom, ready-to-wear merchandise may be eligible for exchange or store credit within 14 days of purchase or delivery.
Items must be unworn, unaltered, unused, free of scent, makeup, deodorant, pet hair, or damage, and returned with all original tags, packaging, and receipts.
Refunds are not provided on ready-to-wear merchandise. Approved returns are eligible for exchange or store credit only.
Custom, Bridal, Couture, Made-to-Order & Altered Garments
All custom, bridal, couture, made-to-order, altered, fitted, commissioned, special-order, and client-specific garments are final sale and non-refundable.
No refunds are available once work has begun, including but not limited to consultation, design work, sourcing, ordering materials, patternmaking, mockups, fittings, cutting, sewing, embroidery, beading, trimming, alterations, or artisan work.
Deposits and progress payments are non-refundable. These payments reserve production time and cover work performed, materials ordered, design development, patterning, labour, fittings, administration, and third-party artisan costs.
Cancelled Custom Orders
If a client chooses to cancel a custom, bridal, couture, made-to-order, altered, or commissioned order after work has begun, no refund will be issued for deposits, progress payments, materials, labour, artisan work, shipping, duties, or fees already incurred.
At Lace Embrace Atelier’s discretion, unfinished work may be paused, completed, released, or retained depending on the amount paid, the work completed, and any outstanding balance.
Unpaid materials, trims, beadwork, embroidery, panels, samples, mockups, patterns, or components remain the property of Lace Embrace Atelier Inc. until paid in full.
Client-Supplied Measurements, Fabric & Materials
Lace Embrace Atelier Inc. is not responsible for fit issues caused by incorrect measurements supplied by the client, changes in body size, changes in posture, pregnancy, weight fluctuation, or changes requested after construction has begun.
Client-supplied fabric, trims, or materials are used at the client’s risk. We cannot guarantee suitability, strength, dye stability, flaws, shortages, shrinkage, or performance of materials we did not supply.
Shipping, Customs & Duties
Shipping, customs, duties, brokerage, insurance, re-import fees, and rush delivery fees are non-refundable.
International customers are responsible for any customs, duties, brokerage fees, tariffs, taxes, or import charges applied by their country or courier.
Warranty & Repairs
We offer a 14-day limited warranty on eligible merchandise for manufacturing issues only.
Custom orders requiring repair or review must be authorized by Lace Embrace Atelier Inc. before being returned. Repairs after the warranty period, or repairs caused by wear, misuse, incorrect measurements, body changes, or external alteration, will be at the customer’s expense.
