Knit Corsets: Zoya + Myrtle

What if a corset could feel as easy as your favourite leggings while still giving you a beautifully held, defined waist?

Zoya and Myrtle are our knit corsets: designed for modern life, stealth under clothing, and comfortable enough for everyday wear. They’re built with Lace Embrace’s decades of corsetry patterning and fit expertise and translated into soft, flexible knit support.

Which one should I choose?

Choose a style that matches your body, your goals and your lifestyle.

Knit Corsets: what they do / what they shouldn’t do

What knit corsets do

- Create wearable waist definition through smart patterning and a consistent silhouette
- Offer gentle-to-firm support for your core, back, and posture awareness
- Help clothing fit more smoothly and intentionally
- Build comfort with corsetry over time (without needing intensity)

What it shouldn’t do

- It should not hurt, pinch, bruise, or cause numbness/tingling
- It should not make breathing difficult or feel panicky

Your Knit Corset Checklist

Comfort first. Consistency second. Tightness last.

Step 1: Measure your natural waist

Measure at your natural waist (where you bend side-to-side). Then decide if you need a Petite height corset or a regular height corset.

Petite is especially helpful for shorter torsos and fuller bustlines (when the bra band sits lower on the ribs).

Step 2: Choose by lifestyle and goals

Myrtle = gentle shaping + cozy smoothing (best beginner option)

Zoya = firmer waist definition + movement-friendly support

Zoya Petite = bust-friendly + shorter waist-to-underbust length

Ombra (Petite Zoya) = sculpted fit + stretch lace drama

Lace snug + supported

The best results come from consistent patterning—not pulling harder. You should be able to breathe, sit, and move comfortably.

Aim for smooth, even lacing tension (not cinched hard at one spot).

Build wear time gradually

Start with shorter sessions, then increase as your body and the corset adapt.

FAQ

Will it hurt?

No. A properly fitted knit corset feels supportive—secure, held, and comfortable—not painful.

What’s the difference between Myrtle and Zoya?

The Myrtle is the gentler, comfort-first shaper. Zoya gives more waist definition with a firmer “snatched” waist—still in a soft knit feel.

How much should I size down?

Zoya and Zoya Petite are typically chosen 6 inches smaller than your natural waist. Myrtle is typically 8 inches smaller (or 6 inches smaller if your waist is 26" or under). Ombra follows the Myrtle sizing rule.

How tight should I lace?

Snug and supported. Never so tight you can’t breathe comfortably, sit well, or feel normal in your body.

Can I sit, drive, and work at a desk?

Yes, knit corsets are chosen specifically to work with daily life. If you sit a lot, Myrtle is often the easiest start.

Can I work out in a corset?

All of the knit corsets are flexible and comfortable for work. Lace your corset comfortably and enjoy the back support.
