Medical Braces
What started many years ago with a simple request to create a wrist brace, eventually evolved into a vast skillset in the field of creating support garments to soothe and support the human body.
For decades now, we have been working with customers with a variety of different medical needs, to build structural support garments that provide relief from pain and improve their overall comfort and well-being.
Lace Embrace Atelier has worked closely with and been recommended by doctors and specialists throughout British Columbia and beyond. We are dedicated to providing our customers with functional and beautiful pieces that meet their medical needs, and integrate seamlessly into their everyday routines.
We have done extensive work with customers with conditions such as:
- Scoliosis, Kyphosis, and Lordosis
- EDS (Ehlers Danlos Syndrome) and Hypermobility
- POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome)
- Hernias
- Spina Bifida
- Chronic pain and fatigue
- Post-Surgical Recovery (in collaboration with medical professionals)
In additional to our bespoke medical braces, we also offer optional alterations and add-ons to our stock corsets for accessibility and fit, such as shoulder-straps, fan-lacing, front-lacing panels, hidden flaps to access medical devices or ostomy bags, padding, etc. As these modifications typically need a more precise fit, we recommend reaching out ahead of time to discuss what is needed, go over any doctors recommendations, and book a medical fitting.
If you would like to inquire about our medical work, please call or email us, and one of our expert staff will get you the help answer any questions that you have about the process of getting a medical corset brace made or getting your brace covered by your medical insurance.
