Juliet Corset - Striped Lurex Silk

Description

This black and white Striped Lurex Silk corset is a one-off custom Juliet made as an example of one of our classic corset styles with "all the bells and whistles".

It features:

  • Striped silk lurex fabric in black, white, and gold
  • Our Regal Wave Black Lace trim,
  • black satin contrast bone casings,
  • black cotton lacing,
  • sweetheart bustline,
  • 16 flat steel bones,
  • silver steel busk front closure,
  • two detachable pairs of gold ribbon covered garters,
  • raspberry red floral flossing embroidery at the bottom of the boning channels

This exquisitely built corset is perfect as an outside piece for formal occasions, or as a foundational underlayer for more historical ensembles. The Juliet has been a long-time favourite with customers for it's flexibility in styling, and the cut is originally based around an R&G corset in our antique corset collection from the late 1890's, which we modified for added bust coverage for comfort and modesty. The corset silhouette flares outward at ribcage, nips in at the waist, and flares again at the hipline, to create the visual effect of a smaller waist.

This unique Juliet is therefore the ideal corset for a late-Victorian impression, or as part of a steampunk costume. The detachable gold ribbon garters mean that you can pair this corset with your finest silk stockings, or with a chic pair of wide leg black trousers. It can also be styled with more modern pieces, creating the potential for refined goth looks or the perfect bodice for your next opera ensemble.

Fit & Sizing

Fit: This is one of our most popular styles for comfort, due to the short, beginner-friendly flared hip-line that pairs well with a plethora of different bottom options. You can easily eat a hearty meal wearing this corset! The length and bust cut makes it suitable for moderate back and bust support. This piece is best suited for a B-D cup.

Dimensions:

  • 13" at centre front busk
  • 15" from top of bust to bottom edge of corset
  • 11.5" at the back
  • 35" closed gap bust measurement (final bust measurement varies depending on lacing gap width)

This corset is available in Size 26", best suited for a natural waist size of 32". (If you are needing a smaller size, we can alter it down. For a larger size, we can replicate this design for you.)
